This August – just like the last 34 years -Weiterstadt is going to become the setting for one of the most famous shortfilm festivals in Europe. During 5 days there will be screenings of about 200 films, parties and a market for substandard films – just to get more of a glimpse into our programme, you’ll find more information on our website.

Of course this also requires lots of work. Since the festival is organised and run by volunteers, we need support during the actual festival as well as for the set-up and tear-down. Tasks range from cutting onions, turning a circus tent into a cinema to selling coffee… there is a lot to do.

The festival is going to take place from August 11th till 15th, the set-up starts 5 days before. So if you are free during that period and if you are keen on being a part of an international film festival, contact us!

This year a market of substandard films is going to take place at the Filmfest Weiterstadt. Everything concerning 8mm till 16 mm film or its equipment can be sold.

When?

Saturday, the 13th of August 2011 from 12 till 4 pm.

Where?

Open Air Filmfest area

Please bring your own tables and sun shade/ umbrella!

For registering, please send a mail to   sponsoring@filmfest-weiterstadt.de   until August 1st 2011.

is Alexandra Zotzel. There is no fixed fee for stalls, but we kindly ask for a donation. Just like every year, the competition of the Super8-shortfilm takes place Saturday night at 10 pm – starting with the audience’s choice. Films can still be submitted until the 31st of May 2011.
